Believe it our not, this is a light fixture. We were in a leather store and they had these leather straps with rings hung from the ceiling. At first we didn’t know what it was, then upon looking up we had that ‘Wow’ moment. It was creative, out of the box, original and something we had never seen before. My husband and I both said, “Wow” at the same time.
I don’t think we have enough Wow moments in life. We have joy and excitement and pain maybe even sorrow, but not much Wow! Why is that? Have we seen it all? Has the media dulled our senses to the magnificanet moments of life? Have we seen so much murder and mayhem on TV and in the movies that astonishing acts of cruelty roll by without a comment? Or maybe we have so much sensory overload that we can’t recognize Wow when it hits us? We know it is cool or unique, or even terrifying…but we may not see it as Wow!
When was the last time you had a WoW moment? What about one that did not involve the internet? That moment where you could appreciate someone’s efforts, talents and ingenuity in an instant. One where you actually said, “Wow” before you even knew it was coming out of your mouth? Work towrads having more Wow moments. Life it too short to let sensory overload rob you of Wow!
