Inspiration: On the Other Side

Ya’ know soemthing is going on when multiple cats are staring at the same thing without moving. These two are looking into our front window and didn’t move for several minutes. I’m not sure what they see…and not sure I want to know.

Sometimes it’s better not to know all the facts. That seems counterintuitive and yet there have been times in my life when I wish I didn’t know what was really going on. In those times ignorance would have been bliss. Not knowing allows you to pretend all is well, that everything is ok, that nothing is hiding under the surface waiting to change your world. But most things are not what they seem on the surface. Most things have more to them than meets the eye. Most things have a level and depth to them that explains the why and the what for. Most thing when you know what is really happening require some sort of change.

Change is a difficult thing, no matter what is changing. It may be a life event, it may be an unplanned life change…it may be exciting and an eagerly awaited positive move. Yet all change brings with it the unknown. All change forces us to face what is happening and how that needs to shift in order for the future to be better. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. We all live through moments of insanity, and we all hope that nothing changes…and yet for life to move forward soemthing always needs to change. We age, we grow, we shift, we move…everything changes all the time. It takes guts to face that change and move with it…otherwise we are left behind and alone.

Whatever it is you are facing that means things need to change, I encourage you to face it square in the face and bring on the change. The alternative is being alone in the same rut doing to same thing and wondering what happened to the world and people around you…everyone else changed, why didn’t you? Have the guts to stare change in the face and stare it down. Give the change all you have for life will be better on the other side.
