Throughout life we need to collaborate with people of all shapes and sizes. That means we have to be good for our word and do the things we promised we would do. It also means we have to bring something of value to the table to make the collaboration a win-win situation. 

If all we do is take, then why would they want to work with us? If all we do is promise and never deliver, then we are saying what we want is more important than making collaboration work. People need to be able to rely on us. Which means we need to be reliable. And reliable means that no matter what it takes we will do what is needed to get the job done. 

Are you reliable? Can people count on you to do what you promise? If not, then you have some work to do. If you continue to let people down eventually they will stop believing you. Your word will be worthless and no amount of promises will be able to change it. Trust is a very fragile thing, once it is lost it takes ten times longer to gain it back. If you are reliable, then continue doing good work and continue to raise the bar and create excellence.
