The booth is set up. The furniture has been polished. The price tags are ready for customers. The sales software is ready and waiting to process all the forms of payment. This is my Dad’s booth – Bill Moore, booth 1117 – The American Craft Council Show (#ACCAtlanta). We set up today at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, GA.

Every time I am involved in a show I am so impressed with the creativity, imagination, organization, and passion of the exhibiting artists. It’s like a circus during set up…and then the magic happens. All the beauty, hard work and time spent creating shows up booth, after booth, after booth. What you see here has taken my Dad about two years to create. That means finding the wood, cutting it, sanding it, designing the legs…piece, after piece, after piece. What you do not see are the pieces that are waiting in storage to be moved to the booth to sell. In total he created twenty-five works of art for this show. Congratulations to all the artists who were juried into the show, produced their art, and worked hours upon hours to set up thier booth.

What are you willing to work two years to produce? Do you have a goal that you are willing to chase for that long? Do you know what you want…and what you are willing to do to get it? I hope so…and if you are not enjoy sure, that is your challenge for today. Think long and hard about where you want to be in two years, lay out a plan…and go for it. Dreams do come true!
