If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then what does it mean when you see a showroom full of windows? We found these at our favorite junk dealer in Atlanta. What an amazing collection of window sizes, shapes and colors.

What really struck me about this scene was the thought of how many buildings and rooms had been torn apart to collect all these windows. Churches, apartments, old warehouses, office buildings, and some hand built homes included one or multiples of these windows. It’s amazing to see the variety and character of each one. And yet, to find the right window for the project, we would need to spend time with many to find the exact right one.

Isn’t that true when we look into the eyes of others? We never know where they came from or what they experienced to get to where they are…unless we ask them. We have to spend time with them to understand who they are, where they come from, and what they really represent. Today I challenge you to send time with people – spend time REALLY getting to know them…take a few moments to peer into their eyes and enjoy the view into their soul.
