We have great back roads around us where we walk. These roads are peaceful and usually have very little traffic. This road is one we travel often. The challenge is that most of it is uphill. So in addition to getting in our steps, we get quite an aerobic workout. I figure it’s a serendipity of peaceful walks.
As I recently walked up this slow climbing hill, I thought how life is often the same way. Anything worth while is usually an uphill climb, and it takes it out of you to get to the top. Funny how we want an easy life, and yet it is the battles we fight, the struggles we endure, the battles we conquer that make us stronger. Today I encourage you to never give up the climb – keep going – keep fighting the good fight. You may have to stop and rest along the way, yet when you get to the top it will be worth it.
