There are cities that actually close their streets on big shopping days to let people walk right through the middle…in this shot they even put out tables and chairs for people to stop, eat, rest, enjoy! Look how many people stepped off the sidewalks and are travling right through the middle of the city. It’s kinda like organzied chaos…mass retail rebellion.
Behind the scenes you know there were taxi drivers, people driving home, even locals who forgot this was the day they close the main street for shoppers. They are probably frustrated trying to find a way to get to their destination without being able to travel this road. I can hear the grumbling now…How about you? How do you react when the main road gets blocked? How do you process your moments of frustration? Do you scream, cuss, throw things, yell…or do you shutdown? Do the people around you know there is something wrong, or do you bottle it up inside so no one sees? Do you need time to process, or do you let your emotions out during your times of challenge?
However you deal with it, you need to deal with it. Keeping it bottled up on your emotional side streets will get you no where. You will be the lost driver trying to maneuver their way home without a clue of when they will get there. During the rest of today, when you encounter frustrating situations, I encourage you to deal with it…find a way to get where you are going while stepping off the side walk. Find you way and you will feel the triumph.
