As we near the end of July, you have now worked enough to pay your federal taxes for the year. So from this date forward you are working for your future. So what are you excited about in terms of your future? What is your financial plan? Do you have one?
I am amazed how many people work hard each and every day, yet have no plan for their finances. Money can be a difficult conversation – awkward, uncomfortable, sometimes even annoying. Money can bring out the best and worst in people. Without a plan money can be our foe – we work for it and it does not work for us. If you refuse to think about it, someday you will regret your lack of planning.
A wise man once told me that if your outgo exceeds your income, your upkeep will be your downfall. With more than half the year over, think today about how you want your money to work for you, instead of you working for your money. Failing to plan means you are basically planning to fail…have courage to talk about money and establish your plan for the future.
