Inspiration 117: A Lesson from a Japanese Maple

There are so many varieties of the Japanese Maple tree. This one we planted a couple years ago, and as you can see it is booming! All we did was dig a good hole, add good dirt, and make sure it was watered the first year.

As the summer progresses, these leaves will turn bright green. Some leaves will even be variegated. We get to enjoy this bright pink color for a several weeks, then as if by magic the green takes over. I think the reason I like that is because it reminds me that I do not have to be the same everyday, all year long. I can change with the seasons and enjoy who I am at a point in time…and in a couple months who I am can change and grow…and become a better version of myself. So today I am going to learn from this Japanese Maple and enjoy who I am today knowing that tomorrow it can all change!
