I was flying into town on an evening flight and took this shot out of my window. It reminded me of how vast our world has become. Big lights, big city, big thoughts.
There is something peaceful when you fly over a large city and can see the scale of it from the sky. It brings perspective and that perspective hopefully puts other areas of your life in the proper order.
We spend so much time earning money, spending money, saving money that we forget to have a healthy perspective. Sometimes the big city allows us to see our world with different eyes and savor the small things that REALLY matter – a hug, a smile, a kind word, people who care about you, and doing something that makes a difference in the big city.
Take time today to think about your world and put things into perspective – the big and the small, the good and the bad, the negative and the positive…if you are reading this, whether you feel it today or not, you are indeed fortunate to be alive!
